Chicago's offense has started to show meaningful progress. The Bears recently generated 492 total yards and 34 first downs, with Kyle Monangai producing 146 rushing yards. That matters because it shows an offense capable of creating scoring opportunities without depending exclusively on quarterback production.
Tyson Bagent is expected to start against Green Bay, which adds uncertainty, but he enters an offense whose running game has become increasingly productive. Green Bay has enough offensive quality through Jordan Love to contribute heavily to the total, with Love already above 1,000 passing yards and eight touchdown passes.
At 42.5, the line does not demand an extreme shootout. Scores such as 24-20 or 27-17 are enough, and the recent improvement of Chicago's offense makes that threshold more attainable.
New England's recent performances deserve more weight than its overall record. The Patriots have shown tangible improvement and recently produced an important 29-26 victory over Buffalo, evidence that they can execute against high-level opposition.
There are still weaknesses, particularly turnovers, but the offense has become more competitive and the defense has been able to keep games within reach. Playing in Foxborough adds another advantage against a Raiders team that started well but has shown it can be pressured when opponents prevent it from controlling the game.
Las Vegas has enough offensive quality to make this close, so the selection is not based on a large statistical gap. It is based on New England's upward trajectory, home field and the level recently demonstrated against Buffalo.
The Chargers' record is poor, but the +4.5 line changes the evaluation significantly. Los Angeles does not need to win; it can lose by a field goal and still cover.
Denver has produced the better early results, but divisional games frequently compress margins, particularly when the underdog plays at home. The Chargers have also shown stretches of improved execution even when those stretches have not yet produced victories.
The key is avoiding turnovers and preventing Denver from creating an early two-score advantage. If Los Angeles keeps the game within one possession, the additional 4.5 points become valuable protection.
Buffalo has started strongly and remains one of the NFL's highest-scoring offenses, so backing Los Angeles requires more than simply relying on home field. The Rams' argument comes from their ability to move the football: despite inconsistent results, their offense has generated yardage at one of the better rates in the league.
Los Angeles now needs to convert that production into points while reducing turnovers. Matthew Stafford's interceptions have been costly, but the underlying ability to create long drives means the offense has room to improve without requiring a dramatic tactical change.
Buffalo remains the major threat because Josh Allen can punish mistakes immediately. This is consequently a higher-risk moneyline, but the Rams' offensive volume, home field and potential for improved turnover efficiency provide a path to the upset.
